Ruth Davis

(she/her/hers)

Ruth is very excited to be joining the NOW team! She is new to Vermont, Ruth moved here from Maine in June, and has loved everything this beautiful state has to offer. Previously she worked at a pediatric doctors office as a CNA working with a wide range of children, different ages and background, and that opportunity has given me a lot of vital skills in childcare. Ruth is currently a first year student at CCV studying Early Childhood Education. In her free time she loves to spend it outside any chance she can get, if she is not outside Ruth is most likely cuddling with her cats while crafting up a storm. Another hobby Ruth enjoys and grew up with, something she holds close to her heart, is singing and playing along with her guitar and ukulele. Ruth is truly excited for this opportunity to work with all your beautifully unique children in such a naturalistic atmosphere that nurtures their individuality.

Terri Jordan

(she/her/hers)

Terri is a native Vermonter who moved south for a few years to try warmer climes. She has been back for almost 2 years, and is loving her return (forgot how beautiful our Green Mountains are!). She is the proud mom to two adult children, whom she adores: her daughter, Allison, who lives in Rutland and her son, Brook, who lives in Waterbury. Terri has a Master in Education; she taught pre-school, and grades 3-4, and worked 2 afterschool programs out of state – one in Charlottesville, VA; one in Lancaster, NY. Terri loves nature, birding, critters of all kinds, and children. She is very happy to be a new member of NOW’s afterschool program. Life is good.

At this time of her life, she finds joy and cause in being with the kids in the NOW Afterschool program. The philosophies of play, the environment as a teacher, understanding of multiple intelligences, and listening to the child’s process rather than dictating it all resonate and motivate Anna.
