My name is Katlyn O'Neil, and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I look forward to getting to know each of my students and partnering with your family to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and excited to learn.

A little bit about me is that I grew up in Stamford, Vermont, where I attended a technical high school and studied Machine Technology. Two years ago, I made the move to Northfield and have loved becoming part of this wonderful community. I have always been an animal lover and enjoy spending time with animals whenever I can. Outside of the classroom, you'll often find me at a rodeo competing in barrel racing, one of my favorite hobbies. When I'm not riding, I enjoy baking, trying new recipes, and spending time with my friends, especially at concerts. I love staying active and bringing that same enthusiasm, dedication, and sense of adventure into my classroom each day.

Although this is my third year working in education, caring for children has been a part of my life for much longer. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and those experiences helped inspire my passion for teaching. 

I am truly looking forward to a wonderful school year with your children and getting to know your families. I believe that strong partnerships between home and school help children thrive, and I value open communication throughout the year. I am excited to continue learning and growing as an educator alongside my students and colleagues while providing the best possible learning experiences for each child. 

I have worked with children for the past five years in a variety of settings, including summer camps, classroom internships, babysitting, and here at Neck of The Woods.

In my free time, I enjoy going to concerts, adventuring outdoors and on the water, listening to music, trying new crafts, reading, and spending time with my dogs.
