 Hayley Wilson

Early Education Director

(she/her/hers)

Experience with Children: 12yrs

Hayley Wilson is an eighth-generation Vermonter with a deep passion for nurturing children, families, and community. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Goddard College and has spent the past 14 years working with children in a variety of roles, including Director, Preschool Teacher, Toddler Teacher, and Nanny throughout Vermont’s Mad River Valley.

Hayley’s approach to teaching is rooted in connection and creativity with the natural world. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she loves spending time hiking, skiing, practicing yoga, and exploring nature with children. Her nature-based teaching style encourages curiosity, imagination, and hands-on learning experiences that help children build confidence and wonder about the world around them.

At home, Hayley and her husband, Chris, are raising their two children, ages 4 and 6. Family life inspires much of the warmth and care she brings into her work each day. In addition to her love of early education, Hayley is also a fiber artist who especially enjoys creating handmade felted toys for children.

Hayley feels especially grateful to be part of the Neck of the Woods community, a place she deeply values for its warmth, connection, and shared commitment to children and families. Building meaningful relationships within the community and creating a welcoming environment for every child are among the most rewarding parts of her work. Providing high-quality care and meaningful support to local families is at the heart of everything she does, and she is excited to continue growing alongside the families she serves.
