Experience with Children: 3yrs
Ruth is very excited to be joining the NOW team! She is new to Vermont, Ruth moved here from Maine in June, and has loved everything this beautiful state has to offer. Previously she worked at a pediatric doctors office as a CNA working with a wide range of children, different ages and background, and that opportunity has given me a lot of vital skills in childcare. Ruth is currently a first year student at CCV studying Early Childhood Education. In her free time she loves to spend it outside any chance she can get, if she is not outside Ruth is most likely cuddling with her cats while crafting up a storm. Another hobby Ruth enjoys and grew up with, something she holds close to her heart, is singing and playing along with her guitar and ukulele. Ruth is truly excited for this opportunity to work with all your beautifully unique children in such a naturalistic atmosphere that nurtures their individuality.

Tom grew up in south New Jersey along the shore. Tom ran his own photography business and frequently vacationed in Vermont. In 2022 Tom and his family packed up and moved to Vermont full time. Tom began to substitute at Spaulding High School and soon moved to NOW for a summer camp position. Tom was such an important part of our summer team he was eager and excited to join us full time! In his free time Tom enjoys hunting, fishing, hanging out with his best friend Sage, exploring and woodworking and spending time with his lovely wife Sue and two daughters Lauren and Olivia.

Katlyn grew up in Stamford Vermont and went to technical school in North Adams Mass studying Machine Technology. Katlyn is avid animal lover and has been proclaimed as the Neck of the Woods in house baker. Katlyn has a passion for working with children and is working toward achieving her Early Childhood Education Associates Degree at CCV. In Katlyns spare time you can find her at rodeos competing as a barrel racer or spending time with her grandparents. Katlyn is excited to gain skills and learn within the NOW community.

Raised in New York, Devin has been living in Vermont since 2022 with his fiancée, Lauren and future in-laws, Tom and Sue. He majored in education at Coastal Carolina University at first, but after realizing his passion for healthcare, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science and then moved on to Parker University in Dallas, Texas, to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He has always had a passion for teaching, even with this shift in his professional path, and he is excited to return to NOW, where he was a camp counselor during the summer of 2024. He enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, video games, cooking, and playing with his cat Sven in his spare time.

Hi! My name is Ryan. I am a recent Vermont transplant, but my wife, Reta, grew up in Middlesex. Our family moved back to the area a handful of years ago, and both of our children attend NOW. I have a bachelors degree and masters degree in teaching-related fields, and have been supporting our local school district as a substitute teacher (primarily in pre-k and elementary school) before joining NOW full time. Outside of NOW, I enjoy coaching T-ball, gardening, and woodworking. I look forward to getting to know you and your children, and doing what I can to help them learn and grow.

Hi! My name is Elyse! I am currently finishing up my associates in Behavioral Science with a special interest in early childhood development and education. I’ve been working with children for about six years in a variety of environments. I began babysitting at age 15 and continued throughout high school. After graduating, I spent two summers working at a day camp before joining the team at NOW. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, baking, playing softball and pickleball, and spending time with friends and family. I am incredibly excited to support young children as they grow and to continue building my skills in this field!

Hello! I am Kaliyah a young adult who has a passion for working with youth. In my free time you can find me outside fishing or just enjoying nature. After finishing high school last year I would like to pursue my love for nursing and healthcare later on down the road. Kaliyah is begining the journey of working towards her Child Development Associate credential.
